Kim Kardashian recently made known her views on teen pregnancy, lashing out at MTV following reports that 90 girls at a Memphis high school became teen moms over the past year.
She aired her sentiments on her blog, saying “It seems that shows like Teen Mom are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls.
The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have been become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!”
Meanwhile, "Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood has a few words of her own for Kardashian.
"Last time I checked, Kim Kardashian had a sex tape floating around on the internet and I'm pretty sure she made a lot of money off of it," Portwood told E!. "She made a sex tape when she was younger and she wants to bash the girls on 'Teen Mom'?"
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood lashed back by slamming Kim’s having made a sex tape when she was younger and making a lot of money out of it. She also defended her show by stating that since her program or one like hers aired the number of teen pregnancies have gone down.
No matter how Amber defends herself or the show, I still think Kim has got a point. American girls, especially the young ones, are easily influenced by what they see.
